Taipei West Bus Station Opens for Business

The Public Transportation Office (PTO) announced that the Taipei West Bus Station Terminal A and Terminal B will open to the public starting midnight on January 20. The bus terminal will serve passengers taking intercity buses to destinations in northern Taiwan.
The terminal buildings will take over the functions of the D1 terminal (Taipei Intercity Bus Terminal) starting January 20. Six intercity bus companies and 12 bus routes operating out of the old terminal will be relocated to the Terminal A. Passengers traveling to northern municipalities (including Taoyuan County) will find the buses here.
Terminal B will house all the routes operated by Kuo-kuang Bus Company in the original Kuo-kuang Highway Bus West Terminal.
The D1 Terminal will be dismantled and be replaced by a new joint-development building. The new building will also house the terminal of the future Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Access MRT System (the MRT TTI Airport Line).
PTO has requested government agencies to adjust the directions in surrounding facilities and street signs to allow travelers to have an easier time locating Taipei West Bus Station.
