TPEDOIT Issues 2009 Taipei Hotel Festival Activity Passport
The Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) will kick off the 2009 Taipei Hotel Festival on July 10. The event will promote the quality hotels and accommodations in Taipei City to the public.
The agency also unveiled the ‘activity passport’ for the 2009 festival. Passport holders will be able to use the passport to receive special deals and discounts in Taipei during the period of the festival . According to TPEDOIT, the passport offers deals such as 50 percent discount on room price and free room upgrades.
In addition, TPEDOIT will be holding activities such as raffles, quizzes, and blog entry submissions. The total value of prizes exceeds NT$500,000, ranging from hotel coupons, plane tickets, to tour packages.
The 2009 Taipei Hotel Festival Activity Passport is available at the following locations: the visitor information centers at train station in 15 cities and counties, including Tainan, Taichung, and Kaohsiung; 16 terminal stations of Kuo-kuang Bus Company; and ezTravel service centers across the island.
There will be promotional events for the Taipei Hotel Festival at the World Trade Center Taichung on July 25 and July 26. To attract audience, TPEDOIT will hold bid sessions every one hour, auctioning away a number of accommodation-related products starting at the price of NT$1.
