New MRT/Bus Transfer Handbook Released
To encourage residents to take public transportation, Taipei City Government Public Transportation Office introduced the newest edition of the Taipei Area MRT and Public Bus Transit Guide on February 25.
The publication offers useful information on the city’s MRT and bus transit system, including maps for over 80 MRT stations and the location of nearby bus stops, as well as tips on transferring between bus and MRT.
For readers unfamiliar with the layout of the different MRT stations, the maps included inside the pamphlet clearly indicate the places to wait for buses. These maps help save valuable time for passengers after disembarking from the trains.
In addition, readers will also find information on hiking trails, top ten local tourist attractions, Blue Highway, taxi services, paratransit services, Taiwan High Speed Rail schedule, and bike routes in the pages of the pamphlet.
The free handbook is available at all MRT stations in Taipei City and the 12 district offices starting 8 AM on February 25. The city government has prepared 100,000 copies, so pick up your copy before they run out!
