The latest statistics compiled by the Park and Street Lights Office of the Public Works Department in the Taipei City Government in 2016 showed that there are 373 neighborhood parks in the 12 administrative districts in the entire city. Since January 1, 2016, the respective District Offices had returned the management of the neighborhood parks back to the Park and Street Lights Office. Currently, the Village Offices, citizens, and some private organizations have adopted 78.8% of the neighborhood parks, including keeping the environment clean and other maintenance matters for flowers, trees, and public facilities; compared to the 69.2% adoption rate in 2015, there is an increase of 9.6%.
