TPEDOIT Postpones Fireworks Festival

The Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) announced that the 2009 Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival will be postponed, to allow the city government to concentrate its resources to support several ongoing disaster relief missions in central and southern Taiwan.

According to TPEDOIT, the event will be postponed from August 22 to a later date. The agency apologizes for any inconvenience the adjustment may have caused.

In light of the postponement, TPEDOIT announced that the ongoing raffle at the official website will be extended to September 20. The public is welcome to participate in the raffle for a chance at winning great prizes!

TPEDOIT reminds residents to check back soon for the rescheduled date of the 2009 Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival. The information will be posted at Taipei City Government English website; it will also be available at the Chinese activity website.
