To offer children and students a chance to observe the upcoming solar eclipse, the Taipei Astronomical Museum (TAM) will be holding a solar eclipse observation camp in the morning of July 22.
According to TAM, the longest solar eclipse of this century will take place on July 22. To offer astronomy fans a great opportunity to learn more about this natural wonder, TAM will be teaming up with Academia Sinica and the National Astronomical Observatory of China to broadcast the event over the Internet.
To celebrate this special occasion, TAM will extend its hours to 8 AM in the morning on July 22. From 8 AM to 11:10 AM, the audience will be able to observe the eclipse through the use of a variety of observation equipments at the institution; instructors will also be at the scene to help visitors set up for the amazing moment taking place across East Asia and the western Pacific region. At 10:30 AM, Marsha Ivins, an astronaut from NASA and a veteran of numerous space flights, will share her experience in space with the audience at the museum.
