Team Taipei Celebrates Two Years in Office! Department of Social Welfare Continues to Expand and Deepen Services for a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future!
As Mayor Chiang Wan-an marks two years in office, he continues to lead his team in building a “Capital of Hope.” The Department of Social Welfare has integrated childcare, elderly services, youth and child welfare, and disability support to provide comprehensive, multi-faceted services that strengthen Taipei as a livable, friendly and inclusive city. Yao Shu-wen, Commissioner of the Department of Social Welfare, emphasized key pillars guiding the department’s work: “Strengthening parenting support networks for safe and confident childrearing,” “Promoting pleasant and graceful aging for seniors,” “Fostering inclusion for people with disabilities, creating a capital of hope,” “Public-private partnerships,” and “Investing in major social welfare infrastructure.” In 2025, Team Taipei will continue listening, taking action, and expanding diverse service networks, aiming to boost citizens’ sense of wellbeing and make living in Taipei a source of pride.
