Wanhua District Office has collaborated with Ximen Pedestrian Area Development Association to organize a series of Christmas-related events at the Ximen commercial district throughout the month of December.
Details of the events are as follows:
December 1 – January 11: Exhibition of Christmas Decorations
The Ximen Pedestrian Area – spanning Hanzhong Street, Emei Street, and Wushang Street – has been decorated with holiday ornaments and Christmas lights. In addition, a showcase of large-sized Christmas decorations will also be staged outside Exit 6 of MRT Ximen Station; the event will last until December 31.
December 12 (4PM – 6:30PM): Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Taipei City Office of Commerce Director and Wenhua District Office Director have presided over a Christmas tree lighting event at Eslite Bookstore’s Wuchang branch store on December 12.
A group of “Christmas angels” – comprising 30 promotional models wearing Christmas caps – also took to the stage to introduce products available at the stores in Ximending to the audience. After the ceremony, the “angels” handed out coupons and posed for photos with pedestrians as they made their way around Ximending to promote the Christmas event.
December 23 – December 25 (4PM – 6PM): Games and Raffles
Between December 23 and 25, there will be games and raffles at the No.116 Plaza next to the Eslite Bookstore Ximen branch store. People playing the game will have a chance to win many prizes, including playing cards, Christmas Eve meals, and movie tickets/vouchers.
