In light of the upcoming president’s inauguration on May 20, the Taipei City Police Department (TCPD) has announced the following traffic control measures for the venue’s vicinity:

Phase 1

1. Duration: 11 PM (May 19) – 5 PM (May 20)

2. Area Affected: 5 north-bound lanes along Ketagalan Boulevard (between Zhongshan S. Road and Gongyuan Road)

Phase 2

1. Duration: 8:30 AM – 11:59 PM (May 20)

2. Area Affected: All lanes along Ketagalan Boulevard (between Chongqing S. Road and Zhongshan S. Road); Huaining Street (between Baoqing Road and Guiyang Street); Gongyuan Road (between Xiangyang Road and Guiyang Street), and Changde Street (between Gongyuan Road and Zhongshan S. Road)

Phase 3

1. Duration (1): 9:50 AM – 10:40 AM (May 20)

2. Area Affected (1): If necessary, traffic control measures will be implemented for all lanes along Zhongshan S. Road (between Zhongxiao East Road and Aiguo East Road)

3. Duration (2): 9:30 AM – 11 AM (May 20)

4. Area Affected (2): If necessary, traffic control measures will be implemented for all lanes along Chongqing S. Road (between Hengyang Road and Guiyang Street)

Roadside Parking Restrictions

Duration: 9 PM (May 19) – 11:59 PM (May 20)

Areas Effected: Roadside parking squares for both vehicles and motorcycles will be suspended along Changde Street (between Zhongshan S. Road and Gongyuan Road) and Section 1 of Guiyang Street (between Chongqing S. Road Section 1 and Gongyuan Road), as well as the westside of Zhongshan S. Road (between Changde Street and Ketagalan Boulevard).

Suggested Detours
As the president’s inauguration coincides with rush hour traffic flow, drivers are advised to take the following detours:
For Eastbound Traffic: Guiyang Road/Changsha Street/Hankou Street -> Zhonghua Road -> Aiguo W. Road/Zhongxiao W. Road
For Westbound Traffic: Qingdao W. Road/Jinan Road/Xuzhou Road/Renai Road -> Linsen S. Road -> Nanhai Road/Zhongxiao East Road (U-turn on dedicated lane)/Ketagalan Boulevard (U-turn on dedicated lane)
For Southbound Traffic: Zhongshan S. Road -> Zhongxiao E. Road/Civic Boulevard -> Zhonghua Road/Jinshan N./S. Road
For Northbound Traffic: Roosevelt Road/Hanzhou S. Road -> Aiguo E./W. Road -> Zhonghua Road/Jinshan N./S. Road
