Join Hands With KKday to Launch Summer Products Designed for Individual Travelers - Famous Korean blogger invited to visit Taipei

According to the statistics of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications(交通部觀光局), the number of visitors to Taiwan from Korea last year exceeds one million, only less than China, Japan, Hong Kong and Macao. Moreover, the growth rate of visitors in 2017 is as high as 19% compared with that of 2016. With the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with South Korea recently, the time for both parties to queue up will be reduced.

To keep up with the South Korea individual traveling rush, Taipei City has cooperated with KKday, a well-known traveling platform in Asia, to launch summer products for individual travelers. These travelers can enjoy up to 10% discounts with the summer products. Besides, Kim Ji Hye (김지혜), popular Korean travel blogger, was invited to have a five-days-and-four-night tour of Taipei in June to experience different appearances of Taipei from a new perspective.

The summer products for individual travelers are planned to launch in this July. Kim Ji Hye stated that the reason to run a blog is simply because she enjoys taking pictures and sharing the interesting places she traveled to. When traveling to a new country, she travels to the big cities for the first time and wanders into the deeper details for the revisits. Up to now, she has traveled to various countries including Japan, Vietnam, Saipan, Guam, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Thailand, Europe (Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom) and Taiwan. Kim’s impression of Taipei is that she can enjoy a variety of cuisines at a favorable price, and she can travel to all tourist hotspots with the convenient transportation (MRT) system. This time, by experiencing making her own pineapple cakes, enjoying Beitou Hot Springs, looking for private attractions, discovering the new features of the alleys surrounding Taipei landmark 101, experiencing the cultural feast of the Palace Museum, and especially taking the Taipei City Double-decked Sightseeing Bus. The double-decked bus offers a beautiful view of the city from a different angle. Moreover, with the TAIPEI FunPASS card, suburbs of Taipei can also be reached.
