The 2025 Smart City Summit & Expo grandly opened at the Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2 from March 18 to 21. The Taipei City Fire Department, under the theme "AI-Driven Innovation in Firefighting Technology, Building a Safer Taipei" showcased various advanced technologies at the "2025 Smart City Summit & Expo - Taipei Pavilion." By leveraging artificial intelligence and innovative technology applications, the department significantly enhances disaster prevention and emergency response efficiency, strengthening urban resilience.Taipei City has successfully secured the top position in the overall rankings of the 2024 County and City Sustainability and Competitiveness Survey for Global Views Monthly, ranking first among the six municipalities in the "Public Safety and Fire Protection" category. The Taipei City Fire Department remains committed to strengthening digital disaster resilience and safeguarding the lives of citizens.

Key Highlights of the Safe City Exhibition Area:

  1. Disaster Response Cloud Collaboration Platform – This platform integrates AI technology, cloud computing, and decentralized Emergency Operations Center (EOC) functionalities. Response personnel at all levels can utilize various mobile devices to coordinate a fully distributed emergency response model, setting a new benchmark for next-generation disaster response management systems.
  2. AI Voice Assistance Platform – Utilizing AI-driven voice recognition technology, this system provides real-time analysis of emergency calls and offers precise dispatch recommendations, optimizing response times .
  3. The Intelligent localization and personnel life-Saving system – Through advanced indoor and outdoor positioning technologies, this system enables real-time tracking of firefighter locations, enhancing operational safety and ensuring the protection of both responders and trapped individuals.
  4. Smart Firefighting Fleet System – Incorporating IoT technology, this system monitors vehicle conditions and driver behavior, issuing real-time alerts to improve driving safety and fleet management efficiency.
  5. AI-Driven EMS Supply Management System – Combining IoT and AI-based image recognition technology, this system automates the inventory management of emergency medical supplies, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of critical resources for emergency medical services.

Taipei City Mayor Chiang Wan-An specifically highlighted the AI Voice Assistance Platform, praising its groundbreaking innovation in fire and emergency response operations. The integration of AI not only enhances the accuracy of emergency response actions but also ensures the safety of both firefighters and citizens.
