EXCO Taiwan to Kick Off on November 19

The Taiwan Exhibition and Convention Industry Show (EXCO Taiwan) will be held at the TWTC Exhibition Hall 1 between November 19 and 20. This international event marks the first trade show dedicated to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) industry in Taiwan.
The City’s Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) took charge of devising and organizing the Taipei pavilion during the show.
The Taipei pavilion will feature the subject – Taipei: a MICE city with outstanding records. It will showcase the city’s high-quality environment for developing the MICE industry, as well as the achievements from the local MICE companies. In addition, it also offers information on the upcoming 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo.
According to the TPEDOIT, it has instituted sponsorship program for the MICE industry in 2008. The agency opened up a one-stop service counter for the local companies, helping them strive for opportunities of hosting exhibitions in Taipei. As of September, 2009, this initiative covered 138 cases which attracted 210,000 foreign participants with the total profit of NT$ 460million.
TPEDOIT indicates that Taipei boasts good venue facilities, convenient transportation network, abundant tourism resources and the top-notch professionals; thereby, it possessed an advantageous position against other cities in developing the MICE business.
The agency invites the public to come and explore the Taipei venue, learning more about the rising industry.
