Traffic Control Measures Announced for CTRRA 30th Anniversary Run

Poster of the charity runThe Chinese Taipei Road Running Association’s 30th Anniversary Charity Run will take place on Sunday, June 11. So far, approximately 12,000 people have signed up for the event.


To ensure the safety of participants, Taipei City Police Department has announced a series of traffic control measures for the event. Details are as follows:


1.June 11 (4 AM – 10 AM): City Hall Road (the section between Songgao Road and Songshou Road) will be closed to traffic.

2.June 11 (5:30 AM – 8:10 AM): Xinyi District No. 1 Road (northbound) will be closed to traffic.

3.June 11 (5:50 AM – 7:30 AM): The fast lanes in the center and the dedicated bus lane on Renai Road (the section between Yixian Road and Anhe Road) will be closed to traffic. The Jiangguo Overpass exit ramp connecting to Renai Road will be closed as well.

4.June 11 (5:50 AM – 8:10 AM): The fast lane in the center, the dedicated bus lane, and slow lane on the south side will be closed to traffic.


During the event period, drivers are encouraged to take detours and alternative routes. Possible choices are as follows:


A.For westbound traffic on Renai Road, please take either the slow lane on the north side, Zhongxiao East Road, or Xinyi Road.

B.For northbound and southbound traffic needing to traverse Renai Road, please take Zhongshan South/North Road, Jiangguo Overpass, or Keelung Road Underpass.


For the duration of the run, bus stops within the parameters of the aforementioned traffic control areas will be suspended. For details on bus routes adjustments, please visit the Chinese website of Public Transportation Office (http://pto.gov.taipei).
