As part of Taipei’s drive towards building a health city, Zhongshan District Office will be collaborating with the Department of Civil Affairs to organize a bicycle outing at the Dajia Riverside Park on July 25.
The 15-kilometer course will take participants on a trip covering both banks of the river, riding past important landmarks such as MacArthur Bridge No.2, Rainbow Bridge, and Neihu Sports Park.
Preregistration is not required to join bicycle outing organized by the Zhongshan District Office, and the event is free of charge. Participants will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win great prizes.
Cyclists will meet at the starting point under Dazhi Bridge between 7:30AM and 8 AM on July 25. Each participant will receive a raffle ticket. The raffle ticket will need to be stamped at the resting area under MacArthur Bridge No.2 before being submitted at the box next to the finishing point.
However, individuals will have to bring their own bicycles, helmet, and protective gears. For those who do not have bicycles but would like to join in the outing, bike rental service is available at the Dajia Bike Rental Station.
Refreshments and cold drinks will be provided at the starting point/goal. Water will also be available at the resting area under MacArthur Bridge No. 2. Participants should bring their own drinking vessel, as paper cups will not be provided for the purpose of reducing waste.
