Angel Art Gallery to Run Expo Venue

During a press conference on November 25, Mayor Hau Lung-bin announced that the Angel Art Gallery has been chosen by the city government to run the Pavilion of Life located inside Xinsheng Park. The pavilion will be one of the venues for the upcoming 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo.
The staff from Angel Art Gallery also unveiled a short promotion film on the future exhibition hall, which also introduces the beauty of Taiwan’s landscape and Taiwan’s creative and cultural industries.
After watching the footage, the mayor remarked that he is confident that the participation of the private sector will help to make the expo a success.
The Department of Economic Development noted that the Pavilion of Life has received the diamond level rating from EEWH (Taiwan’s green building rating system). The new building includes environment-friendly features such as solar panels, permeable bricks, and an energy-efficient radiant cooling air condition system.
The mayor joined Angel Art Gallery founder and curator Serina Lai in cutting a cake depicting the flora expo mascot “Lan Er” to celebrate the partnership between city hall and the museum.
