The World Baseball Classic matches rekindled the enthusiasm of baseball fans around the island. Mayor Chiang Wan-an joined over 1,000 fans at an outdoor baseball game live broadcast to cheer for the local team earlier this month. 

In light of the recent rise in baseball’s popularity, the Department of Sports collaborated with the Wei Chuan Dragons Professional Baseball Team to offer bargains for purchasing tickets to games at Tianmu Baseball Stadium.

Starting April 18, the following packages will be available at the home field of Wei Chuan Dragons: Student’s Tuesday; Ladies’ Wednesday; and Taipei Citizens’ Thursday. On these days, customers from the respective groups are eligible for a buy-1-get-1-free deal on tickets. The offer is only valid for the first 1,000 seats. 

Likewise, Citizen Families’ Friday comes with a “buy-2-get-2-free” package for the first 2,000 seats. As an added bonus, spectators watching the game on Citizen Families’ Friday at the stadium will have access to the baseball field after the match. This is a great opportunity for them to experience the only artificial turf baseball field in Taiwan. 

Details on packages:

1. Students’ Tuesday (weekday Tuesdays): Two students enrolled at schools of all levels can enjoy buy-1-get-1-free deal for infield seats at Tianmu Baseball Stadium.
2. Ladies’ Wednesday (weekday Wednesdays): Two female spectators can enjoy buy-1-get-1-free deal for infield seats at Tianmu Baseball Stadium. 
3. Taipei Citizens’ Thursday (weekday Tuesdays): Two individuals with household registration in Taipei City can enjoy buy-1-get-1-free deal for infield seats at Tianmu Baseball Stadium.

Taipei Families’ Friday: A group of four visitors who have household registration in Taipei City can enjoy buy-2-get-2-free deal for infield seats at Tianmu Baseball Stadium, as well as postgame turf access.
