With view to take good care of retired rescue dogs and increase citizen’s involvement with rescue dogs, Taipei City Fire Department (TFD) have carried out a rescue dog adoption campaign on Aug 28, 2015. which was the first time in Taiwan. Then, due to limited space and resource, TFD started another campaign for citizens to adopt Bailey and Coot. After a careful evaluation process, Ms. Chou and Ms. Gong have got the pet custody of Bailey and Coot separately, they will have a signing ceremony with TFD on April 29.Bailey and Coot received urban rescue dog training in the U.S., and have got the I.R.O. RH-TB certification in 2010 and 2013 separately. They took part in many domestic rescue missions, including typhoons, mountain rescues, and the 2014 gas explosions in Kaohsiung. Now their age and service term have reached the retirement standard.
We wish the two Rescue dogs, which have made exceptional contributions, could enjoy their old age with their new families. TFD says that the signing ceremony is to thank the dog lovers who registered for adoption, and hope the public will continue to support and encourage our works on raising and training rescue dogs.
