The chairman of Taipei Housing and Urban Regeneration Center (THURC) and the CEO of Fabulous International Holding Co., LTD. jointly signed the investment and assistance contract of "The Urban Renewal Project of 22 lands, including Parcel 188, 4th Subsection, Xinhai Section, Daan District in Taipei City" led by DOF, TCG, and implemented by THURC on March 18th, 2024.

According to DOF, TCG, this project is 4,459.83 square meters, which is a rare  large-scale public land development in Daan District. Public lands account for 65% of the total area, making it a successful collaboration among the central government, TCG, and private sectors. The project is anticipated to attract investment of over 2.7 billion NTD. DOF actively assisted in the relocation of tenants and occupiers on the city-owned land and drafted urban design guidelines for the project prior to the promotion of the investments. Besides, DOF communicated with private landowners together with THURC, providing residents with a safe buildings and livable environment.

The commissioner of DOF stated that planning of the project has accommodated local needs, which is in line with "people-oriented" concept of TCG. Considering the proximity to the MRT station and abundant resources such as schools and parks in the surrounding area, the project will also provide social housing and non-profit kindergartens after renewal, which can enhance the age-friendly education in this area. Fabulous International Holding Co., LTD. commits to obtain the gold-level green building label and silver-level intelligent building label, promoting the goal of sustainable capital. Moreover, Fabulous International Holding Co., LTD. will install solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems, make use of BIM, establish a sidewalk for kids, and renovate the bus shelter, creating a high-quality and sustainable community.

DOF further stated that as there are still private lands within the block need to be integrated, we look forward to seeing constantly efforts from THURC and the Fabulous International Holding Co., LTD.It will let public lands lead the development of Taipei City by urban renewal, and boost more benefits for the urban landscape, living environment, and citizens’ quality of life.
