New Officials Assume Their Position at Taipei City Hospital

Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin attended the swearing-in ceremony for the new heads of Taipei City Hospital's (TCH) Zhongxing, Renai, and Heping campuses on August 3. He also announced the result of the latest survey, showing that 91 percent of the respondents are satisfied with the institution's services.
The mayor noted that since the restructuring of the municipal hospital, the city government’s attempt to improve the institution has been largely successful, strengthening the services provided. The latest personnel adjustment is a part of the overall plan to increase exchange among the different campuses.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Renai branch of TCH. The former director of Renai campus will take his position as the new deputy superintendent of TCH; Zhongxing branch director will serve as the director of Renai campus; Heping branch director will take over the command of Zhongxing branch; and the outgoing deputy director will lead TCH Heping campus.
He noted that a number of TCH departments show outstanding performance in their specific fields, including the ophthalmology department and the postnatal care center of Zhongxing branch; the liver disease center and the daycare center for dementia patients of Renai branch; and the preparedness of Heping branch in dealing with commutable diseases.
Hau expressed his gratitude to the hardworking personnel of TCH for their contribution. Noting the recent spread of the A (H1N1) flu, he reminded the medical staff at the hospitals to be on their guard and protect the health of residents.
