Strong Market Response! Taipei City Government’s Department of Finance Offers Another Public Land in Wenshan District for EV Charging and Battery Swap Station — All Qualified Bidders Welcome
On October 14, 2025, the Department of Finance of the Taipei City Government announced the lease tender for a parcel of city-owned land (Lot No. 219-2, Subsection 3, Xinglong Section, Wenshan District, Taipei City) for the development of an electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swap station. The deadline for bid submission is 5:00 PM on November 13, 2025, and bids will be opened at 10:00 AM on November 14, 2025. Interested businesses are encouraged to participate. According to the Department, its previous tender—the first of its kind, offering public land in Datong District’s Shuanglian Section for EV charging and battery swap use—attracted multiple bidders, demonstrating clear market demand. The newly offered site in Wenshan District spans 255 square meters and is located adjacent to Jingmei Sports Park, a prime location. Establishing an EV charging and battery swap station here is expected to significantly alleviate charging needs for EV owners, especially those without access to private parking spaces with charging facilities. This initiative aims to provide more convenient and reliable energy solutions. The Department will continue reviewing suitable city-owned land to gradually expand the charging and battery swap infrastructure, support the city’s net-zero emissions policy, enhance energy resilience, create a user-friendly charging environment, and help make Taipei a more livable, low-carbon city. The base annual rent for this tender is set at NT$400,000, with a lease term of 5 years and an optional 4-year renewal. Eligible bidders must be companies registered under business categories related to parking lot operation and energy technology services. Interested parties are welcome to visit the site at their convenience. For inquiries during the announcement period, bidders may contact the designated project staff during office hours or obtain the bidding documents free of charge from the Secretariat Office (8th Floor, Central Zone, No. 1, Shifu Road, Taipei City), or download them from the Department’s website at https://dof.gov.taipei/ under “Announcements – Tender Information.”
