Zhongshan Public Assembly Hall Opens on March 13

The City’s seventh public assembly hall officially opened in the Zhongshan District on March 13. The former site of the venue is the base of North District Military Police Corps.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin stressed that the city government spent great efforts implementing overhauls on the aged facility.
Following the completion of the reconstruction works, the mayor said he expected both the residents and the managing agency will organize various culture and art activities within the venue. Utilizing the facility to the fullest will enable it to live up to the function of offering residents a new attraction to enjoy a relaxing time.
A photo exhibition featuring shifting faces of Zhongshan District was held at the first floor of the building during the opening day. According to the officials, the venue will be housing more exhibitions in the coming months.
