Beef Noodle Festival to Hold Exhibition in Macau

The 2009 Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival will be holding a special exhibition in Macau this upcoming weekend. Mayor Hau Lung-bin met with the representatives of beef noodle shops at the press conference on October 9 and encouraged them to bring the best of beef noodle cuisine to the other side of the Taiwan Strait.
The mayor remarked that the beef noodle festival has received much public attention over the past years and is now an important activity for Taipei. Now in its fifth year, the Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival will challenge a new frontier by bringing this wonderful cuisine to the residents of Macau.
The special beef noodle showcase will run from October 16 through October 18 at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. Hau announced that 11 beef noodle stores will be setting up shops at the exhibition to tease the taste buds of the people of Macau.
During the press conference, the mayor presented each beef noodle shop representative with a chef’s hat, expressing his gratitude to the individuals for their participation in the exhibition event abroad. He officially announced that the Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival will be moving into the international scene.
The city government has invited outstanding beef noodle shops from previous years and a number of Taiwanese night market shops to join the exhibition in Macau. Top beef noodle chefs will demonstrate their skills before panelists from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and the PRC.
