President of Samsung Electronics Taiwan Invites Mayor to Attend Running Festival
Mayor Hau Lung-bin met with the president of Samsung Electronics Taiwan Kim Heon-Seong at Taipei City Hall on October 7. The guest invited Hau to attend the upcoming 2009 Samsung Running Festival Taipei.
The company’s president expressed his gratitude to the mayor for the City’s continuous support of running events. As he delivered the invitation, Kim also presented the mayor with a runner label with the number “01999”, symbolizing the city government’s 1999 Citizen Hotline.
Hau thanked Samsung Electronics Taiwan for its sponsorship of various local sports and charity activities, such as donating household appliances to disadvantaged groups and supporting the 2009 Summer Deaflympics. In return, the CEO promised that the company will continue to back charity and industrial development efforts in Taiwan.
The 2009 Samsung Running Festival Taipei is slated for October 18. Kicking off at 7 AM, the three-kilometer course will take the runners from Civic Plaza all the way to the Renai Road/Anhe Road intersection and back.
