Municipal leaders of Taipei City, Hsinchu County, and Taoyuan County joined hands to promote fresh peaches from La La Mountain at the Daan Forest Park on June 26.
Serving as the “peach” promoter for the third consecutive year, Mayor Hau Lung-bin praised the juicy and sweet-tasting peaches, which are available at a bargain price. He called the outdoor promotion a great opportunity for Taipei residents, allowing them to purchase these fresh yields from Taoyuan without leaving town.
Anticipating a large turnout of peach fans, Hau reminded growers to hasten stock replenishment and urged consumers to purchase the peaches before supply runs out.
According to Taoyun County Magistrate Wu Chih-yang, the harvest of peaches this year is less than expected due to weather conditions. Individuals who want to enjoy the treats should place an order when they have a chance. He remarked that the products available at event are of high quality thanks to careful selection and timely shipping process.
Magistrate Wu also expressed his gratitude to Mayor Hau for the latter’s role in helping Taoyuan County promote its agricultural products.
