Mayor Attends Charity Concert at City Hall
Mayor Hau Lung-bin attended a charity concert held at the second floor auditorium of Taipei City Hall on August 31.
During his address, the mayor noted that many sponsors from small and medium-sized businesses were also present at the concert. He pointed out that the city government welcomes these kinds of meaningful events to be held at city hall.
The charity concert is made possible with the help of many donators, and all proceeds from the charity concert will be forwarded to Honghua Children’s Orphanage in Taoyuan County.
Hau praised the institutions for taking in orphaned children who are not eligible to receive financial support from the government. He described these kids as “the most disadvantaged among disadvantaged people” and show high risk of “losing at the starting point” and being susceptible to delinquencies.
Expressing his gratitude to the staff of Honghua Children’s Orphanage, Hau said their effort works as stabilizing forces for our society. He also lauded the donors from small and medium enterprises for providing resources for these kids, allowing them to receive better care.
