Vetnostrum Animal Health Adopts Meiti Dog Park Partners with Taipei City Government to Usher in a New Pet-Friendly Era

Starting in February this year, Taipei City became the first to allow 16 dog parks to be adopted by private organizations, fostering stronger public-private collaboration to create enhanced pet-friendly spaces. To express gratitude to Vetnostrum Animal Health Co., Ltd. for adopting the Meiti Dog Park in Zhongshan District in support of this initiative, the Taipei City Animal Protection Office held an adoption ceremony today December (3rd). Mayor Chiang Wan-An presented a certificate of appreciation to the company, recognizing its efforts and hoping to set an example that inspires more businesses and organizations to collaborate in shaping a new era of pet-friendly spaces.

Mayor Chiang Wan-An stated that Taipei City is the only municipality in the country to allow private organizations to adopt dog parks, marking a groundbreaking initiative. Adopters who organize animal protection or epidemic prevention activities at their adopted parks are exempt from venue fees and may also apply for subsidies if they meet the requirements. Donations of equipment and facilities for the parks are eligible for tax deductions based on their value, and donors, whether businesses, organizations, or individuals, can have their names displayed on donated items, including signage. This initiative not only highlights adopters’ commitment to social responsibility but also enhances corporate brand influence. The Taipei City Government seeks to harness the power of the private sector to collaborate in enhancing the facilities and environment of dog parks, with the goal of achieving both animal welfare and corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.

Vetnostrum Animal Health, subsidiary of the YungShin Group, is an animal pharmaceutical manufacturer that meets international certification standards. Guided by the core values of “Precision Medication, Green Farming,” the company produces high-quality animal medications with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. In recent years, Vetnostrum Animal Health has actively promoted corporate social responsibility (CSR). Responding to the Taipei City Government’s dog park adoption policy, the company continues the spirit of the “Boundaryless Garden” established by the founder of Yung Shin Pharmaceutical Group. The aim is to create a more pet-friendly and welcoming space for both furkids and their owners. During the adoption period, the company will also donate fully biodegradable eco-friendly dog waste bags for public use, supporting efforts to promote animal welfare and environmental sustainability. Going forward, the company will keep encouraging pet owners to embrace the responsibility of furkids care and the concept of healthy furkids care practices, helping ensure that both pets and their owners can create more joyful moments together.
