[2010 Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival] Traffic Information
The 2010 Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival will be taking place at the Zhuzihu area on Yangmingshan between March 26 and April 25. To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, the Department of Transportation (DOT) will be implementing the following measures: Traffic Control: The City will implement traffic control on the weekends during the Calla Lily Festival (March 27, 28; April 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25). Roads in the Zhuzihu area will allow only single-way traffic between 9 AM and 7 PM. In addition, traffic control along Yangde Boulevard will be enforced by checkpoints during the weekends as well. Control on uphill traffic will be in place between 8 AM and 3 PM, and between 2 PM and 6 PM for downhill traffic. (Note: due to the overlap with the Flower Festival, traffic control will be enforced from 6 AM through 4 PM on March 27 and 28). Depending on actual traffic conditions, local police authorities will adjust the traffic control hours accordingly. Public Transportation: Due to limited parking spaces on Yangmingshan, residents are encouraged to take public transportation for their trip. Visitors can catch route S8 at MRT Shipai Station (available everyday; bus runs at one-hour intervals) or S9 at MRT Beitou Station (available everyday; bus runs every 30-40 minutes); the two buses go directly to Zhuzihu. A number of public buses can take passengers to the Yangmingshan Second Parking Lot and the Yangmingshan Bus Terminal. From these locations on the mountain, passengers can transfer to routes S8, S9, or Flower Festival Bus (available only on weekends and holidays; available every 10-20 minutes) for Zhuzihu. For more information, please call the 1999 Citizen Hotline (dial 02-2720-8889 from outside of Taipei City) or visit the Chinese website of DOT (http://www.dot.taipei.gov.tw).
