“Love and Safety Fun Fair” Xinyi District Disaster Prevention Awareness Event
To strengthen public awareness of disaster prevention and fire safety, the Taipei City Fire Department and Xinyi District Office and the Rain Young Charity Foundation, will jointly host the “Love and Safety Fun Fair” on Sunday, October 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Songshan Railway Station. The event will feature interactive games, hands-on learning experiences, a charity marketplace and stage performances. Through a fun and educational approach, the fair aims to convey essential safety knowledge, encourage family participation, and support local social welfare organizations—demonstrating the spirit of community care and shared social responsibility. A little preparedness brings a lot peace in life. Every small action in disaster prevention plays a critical role in protecting our families and communities. The Taipei City Fire Department will set up 「VR Firefighting Adventure」,「Home Safety 1216」and 「Lithium Battery Safety Education」booths staffed by professional firefighters providing live demonstrations and in-depth explanations to help the public better understand the importance of fire and disaster prevention, and learn how to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies. Additionally, a Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment booth will be available at the event. The Fire Department welcomes citizens who are passionate about public service to join the volunteer team and protect our city. The Taipei City Fire Department reminds the public that with the increasing use of lithium batteries in mobile devices, electronic products, and electric vehicles, incidents involving lithium battery fires have been rising in recent years. To ensure safety, citizens should purchase certified lithium battery products with safety labels and follow manufacturer instructions—avoiding overcharging, deep discharging, physical impact, or compression. The Taipei City Fire Department appreciates residents for the support of this event. Through family-friendly booths and interactive activities, citizens of all ages can learn essential safety concepts together. In the future, the Taipei City Fire Department will continue to collaborate with local communities and civil organizations to advance public disaster education and move toward a sustainable, safe, and resilient Taipei City.
