Taiwan Nature Trail Society has been commissioned by the by Taipei City Geotechnical Engineering Office (TCGEO) to design and organize an outdoor education program at the Neishuangxi Forest Park between July and November.
The program comprises outdoor classes, themed activities, and 2 special feature events. Starting in July, those interested in the event can choose from over 80 sessions/tours with 5 different themes. According to the agency, these packages offer a variety of topics, satisfying the needs of different audience groups – elementary school kids, middle school students, teachers, parents, young children, the general public, and more!
The Neishuangxi Forest Park is located in Xishan Borough of Shilin District. The thriving broad-leaved woodland accounts for 93 percent of the park, making it the place with the most completed forest ecosystem within the borders of the city.
According to the agency, the forest is a unique natural habitat boasting a fascinating mix of plants from different climate zones and a geographic landscape that could only be found in this area. With the addition of 5 hiking trails managed by TCGEO, this park has become an ideal venue for both leisure activities and educational programs.
