The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) organized a Karaoke contest for its employees at the main auditorium of the Department of Civil Servant Development on June 30.
Mayor Hau Lung-bin arrived at the venue and enjoyed singing with the employees of DEP. Speaking before the crowd, he praised the staff of DEP for their outstanding success at promoting city services and policies to local residents.
Citing the success of Taipei’s “Clean City Sweep Campaign” and the Tamsui River Revitalization Project, Hau remarked that DEP implemented a wild range of polices which helps to strengthen the cleanliness and beauty of the urban landscape.
Furthermore, the eco-friendly policies of waste classification and recycling were also highly regarded by the international community. The mayor remarked that he is very proud of the agency’s achievements.
In addition to addressing the staff, Hau joined DEP Commissioner Ni Shi-biao for a song on the stage. He also presented the awards to the winners of the karaoke contest.
