Zoo to Celebrate Earth Day with Special Edition Ticket
To commemorate Earth Day 2010 and the reopening of the Maokong Gondola, Taipei Zoo announced the release of its second special edition admission tickets starting April 1. The animal taking the spotlight on the ticket will be the clouded leopard.
Director Jason Yeh remarked that the zoo organizes events every year to commemorate Earth Day. He also invited the public to help protect our natural environment.
This year, Taipei Zoo will be offering four special edition admission tickets – roughly one per season. Following the release of the “Tiger” ticket during Lunar New Year, the institute will offer the cloud leopard special edition ticket this season. The animals scheduled for appearance for the next seasons will be the lion and leopard cat, respectively.
According to Taipei Zoo, individuals who collect all four special edition tickets will be eligible to receive the “Year of the Tiger” commemorative badge set. The badge set includes badges of the four animals and will be available for exchange following the release of the fourth special edition ticket in October.
In addition, individuals whose name carries either the Chinese character “Cloud” or “Leopard” will receive a special discount on the purchase of admission tickets from the zoo between April 16 and 22 (visitors who wish to take advantage of this offer need to bring their National ID card with them).
