Taipei City Honored with the National Benchmark Women’s Center “Women Empowerment Award” — Recipient Mayor Chiang Wan-an Commits to Building a Women-Friendly Capital

The Taipei City Beitou Women Support and Empowerment Center has been awarded the 2024 National Benchmark Women’s Center “Women Empowerment Award” by the Social and Family Affairs Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare. Mayor Chiang Wan-an noted that Taipei is home to 10 women’s centers across the city, each committed not only to supporting women and families in vulnerable situations, but also to developing tailored empowerment programs that respond to women’s needs across various life stages. The Taipei City Government will continue advancing a wide range of policy initiatives aimed at building a friendly city that is both “supportive of women” and “empowering of female strength.”
