Mayor Attends 43rd Anniversary Celebration of Lions Club’s Yangmingshan Chapter

Taipei Yangmingshan Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) held its 43th anniversary celebration and the inauguration ceremony for its president on April 15. Mayor Hau Lung-bin attended the ceremony and praised the members of the association for their commitment to charity.
Speaking before the members, Hau remarked that the support from the non-government organizations and the collaboration between public and private sectors have always served as the drive pushing to change the city for the better.
With the Taipei Pavilion opening in May at the Shanghai World Expo and the start of the Taipei International Flora Expo in November, Hau encouraged non-government groups to take part in the two international events by utilizing their individual channels and opportunities to help promote Taipei City to the global community.

During the ceremony, LCIF officials presented the mayor with a “lion vest”, which represents the organization’s VIP membership. In return, Hau presented awards to five Lion Club members, marking their outstanding achievements through promoting the public interest.
