The Taipei Astronomical Museum (TAM) will be holding a series of festivities on the day of the Moon Festival on October 3. Beginning at 6PM to 9PM, the event will comprise of four sessions which are completely free of charge. The TAM invited the public to get together and join the following events:
Subject: Concert, Popcorn and Coffee
Location: back door plaza of TAM
Time: 7PM – 9PM
An evening concert featuring the local famous orchestra, “Ba Fang Wei”, will be held under the radiant moonlight with the free popcorn and coffee available for the audience. In addition, the Kuo Yuan Ye Company will sponsor a giant moon cake with the weight of around 30kg and the diameter of 65cm for everyone to share in the snack.
Subject: Moon-Watching Event
Location: Tourist Bus Parking Lot
Time: 7PM – 8PM
TAM will transform the parking lot into a massive moon-watching venue where a total of 20 telescopes will be set up for the observers.
Subject: Guided Tours Featuring Moon
Location: TAM Exhibition Hall
Time: 6PM, 6:30PM, 7PM, 7:30PM, 8PM, 8:30PM
For individuals who are interested in knowing more about the Moon, the TAM has prepared 6 sessions of tours presided over by professional instructors on the day of the event. Each session will last for 30 minutes.

Location: TAM IMAX Theater
Time: 6PM, 6:30PM, 7PM, 7:30PM, 8PM, 8:30PM
On the day of Moon Festival, TAM IMAX Theater will be screening special programs featuring every aspects of Moon. The film was produced by TAM and will be available with 6 sessions.
