Care with Love; Live without Barriers --- Commissioner Kang Invites More than 130 Disadvantaged Students to the Taipei Dinosaur Exhibition Experiencing the Importance of Ecological Conservation
In order to promote the concept of ecological conservation, Tzong-Huu Kang, Commissioner of Department of Education of Taipei City Government, invited more than 130 disable students and students from financially disadvantaged families to the Taipei Dinosaur Exhibition held in Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Since many of the students have only seen dinosaurs on TV, they are very excited to see the gigantic dinosaur fossils and the models which would talk and move.
Tzong-huu Kang states that the Earth is facing many severe environmental challenges such as global warming, air pollution, forest reduction, and etc. Therefore, the department of Education hopes to let students feel the importance of ecological conservation through this kind of experiencing events, and so they will cherish the natural environment and energy.
Department of Education indicates that to further enrich the tour, teachers have taught students the information and knowledge about ecological conservation in relative classes in advance.
Before the tour began, Commissioner Kang asked students questions about ecological conservation and awarded them for giving a correct answer. Many Students raised their hands trying to answer the questions. They have become environmental experts of the new generation
