The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) organized a Karaoke contest for its employees at the main auditorium of the Department of Civil Servant Development on June 30.
Mayor Hau Lung-bin arrived at the event to share in the joy of staff activity. Speaking to the audiences, He praised the DEP workers for their outstanding performance in promoting the services and policies proposed by the city government to the residents.
Citing the success from the “Clean City Sweep Campaign” and the Tamsui River Revitalization work, Hau remarked that the DEP implemented a wild range of polices to facilitate the beautification of the urban landscape. Aside from this, the eco-friendly undertaking on waste classification and recycling was also highly recognized at the international stage. The mayor concluded that he is very proud of the agency’s achievements.
In addition to making a speech, Hau joined the DEP Commissioner Ni Shi-biao at a singing session on the stage. He also presented awards to winners of the contest.
