To celebrate the opening of the MRT Neihu Line, the Neihu District Office is holding a 4-day music festival at the Dahu Park, located right next to the MRT Dahu Park Station. The event runs through July 19.
Neihu District Director Chang Chin-chen noted that the Neihu Summertime Music Festival is the first large-scale music event organized by the district office. He welcomes the public to take the MRT to Dahu Park and enjoy free coffees and great music at the festival.
The Friday night concert will feature performances by the music clubs from local schools. Beginning at 6:20PM, bands and musicians from schools including Neihu High School, Tan-mei Elementary School, Xihu Junior High School, and Saint Bonaventure Girls’ Senior High School will demonstrate their instrument and music skills before the audience.
Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin will attend the concert on Saturday night at the park. The concert on Saturday will kick off at 4 PM with the performance by the Neihu High School Chinese Orchestra, followed by shows spotlighting the students of National Taiwan College of Performing Arts. Finally, the music by the brass quintet of Taipei Symphony Orchestra will conclude the festival on Sunday.
