The 2010 Chinese Taipei International Athlete Meet will take place at the Taipei Stadium this Friday and Saturday!
According to the event organizers Taipei Sports Office and Chinese Taipei Track and Field Association, top athletes from around the world will be attending the two-day-long competition in Taipei, including 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medalist Tomasz Majewski, Valerie Vili, and 2009 IAAF World Championships gold medalist Robert Harting.
Local athletes will also take part in the tournament, including national record holders Yi Wei-chen and Liu Yuan-kai.
An expected 150 international athletes from 14 nations around the world will be attending the event, boosting the total number of participants in this year’s competition to over 500.
The organizers remind spectators that the tournament will take place on May 28 and 29 at the Taipei Stadium, from 9 AM through noon and from 4 PM through 8 PM. Admission to the event is free.
