Donation by worshipers to the temple will not only bring peace to their minds but also render good health care. The non-profit Taipei Guan Du Temple for the first time decided to make use of the donation of their worshipers to procure equipment for donation to the Cardiovascular Checkup Center of Yang Ming Branch. The hospital arranged a special donation ceremony on February 5, 2010 in its Cardiovascular Checkup Center. This donation will greatly benefit residents in Shih-lin district, Hsu Hui Chi, the director of Yang Ming Branch accepted the donation on behalf of the hospital and conveyed his gratitude.


Guan Du Temple has dedicated to social service without reservation for a long time. Each year, it utilizes the donation from its worshipers to benefit the society. This year, on learning that Yang Ming Branch was in need of upgrading its equipment for cardiovascular checkup center and acknowledging the concept of the hospital in providing best service to the community residents, Guan Du Temple decided to donate ,for the first time, cardiovascular checkup equipment to the hospital. In doing so, the Temple has converted the love of its worshipers to a greater love for the benefit of the community.


Cardiovascular disease always happens without symptom and is also a common chronic disease of our citizens. The donation in an amount of 2.2 million dollars of equipment includes 24- hour arrhythmias monitor system, 24 –hour blood pressure monitor, and exercise electrocardiograph. These equipment will be able to monitor the function of the heart, especially to record the changes of heart in the cases of accidental palpitation, chest pain and exercise discomfort, to identify its cardiovascular problem for early treatment.


According to Yang Ming Branch, there are many aged people in Shih-lin district therefore the hospital gives special concern to function of their hearts. The hospital is very grateful to Guan Du Temple for its love in long term caring for the function of the hearts of the community residents through this generous donation. By using the donated new equipment, the hospital will give the best care to the function of the hearts of the community residents.
