The Zhongshan Metro Mall and the East Metro Mall will be holding a series of events to celebrate the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Eve between December 12, 2009 and January 3, 2010.
To spotlight the characteristic art/culture atmosphere at the Zhongshan Metro Mall, famed artists from Museum of Contemporary ART Taipei, Lee Ming-tao (Akibo) and Hsu Tang-wei, will collaborate to embellish the underground walkway with their art installations.
In addition, a Christmas tree decorating contest will take place at the East Metro Mall, with the participation of third through sixth grade children from the local elementary schools. The selection for winners and the award ceremony will begin on December 12.
To attract more people to come and do the holiday shopping at the underground shopping centers, the TRTC announced that individuals who shop at the two metro malls will have a chance to receive a copy of 2010 day book.
