WSDO to Hold Tea Appreciation Session at Maokong
Jointly organized by the Wenshan District Office (WSDO) and the Muzha Farmers’ Association, a tea ceremony workshop and fair will take place near the eco pond of the Camphor Tree Trial at Maokong on May 29. The event will run between 1:30PM and 4PM.
Guests can enjoy the taste of fresh tea brewed from spring Tieguanyin – a Muzha area specialty.
The organizers expect the event to attract thousands of visitors, making it an important highlight of the “Muzha Tea and Bamboo Shoots Festival” this year.
There will be performances and tea appreciation sessions, as well as an award ceremony honoring the winners of the spring tea contest.
The tea masters from a number of local tea associations will preside over the tea sessions, serving the participants. It is worth noting that a group of young faces will also join the rank of tea masters. They are students from Muzha Elementary School who have completed the training program for tea masters devised by the school and the Wenshan Public Assembly Hall.
Due to limited seating, the tea banquets will be reserved for individuals with admission pass. The admission pass will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the venue on the day of the event.
To avoid the hassle of parking and traffic congestions, the organizers encourage visitors to utilize public transportation system for their trip. For more details on the tea ceremony workshop, please visit the Chinese website of WSDO (http://www.wsdo.taipei.gov.tw).
