Mayor Hau Lung-bin attended the Lunar New Year Greeting Session organized by the companies of the Greater Neihu Technology Park on March 3.
Speaking before the representatives, Hau noted that recent statistics and surveys indicate that the economy has turned for the better. For example, companies and firms offered 8,200 positions at the city-sponsored job fair that took place before the Lunar New Year holiday. This shows a significant increase from the 5,000 job openings reported earlier.
The number of employees working at companies in the Neihu Technology Park and Nangang Software Park also went up.
According to the mayor, Songshan Airport will offer direct flights to Tokyo Hanada Airport, Seoul Gimpo International Airport, and Shanghai Hongqiao Airport starting late October. The new arrangement will save valuable time for people traveling between Taipei and these Asian cities.
Hau stressed that the stability of the MRT Muzha-Neihu Line has shown great improvements. This important route satisfies the needs of passengers commuting to and from areas such as the Neihu Technology Park and the Nangang Software Park. These people – the majority being clients, employees, employers of park companies – benefit greatly from a public transportation that offers quick and convenient access to the Songshan Airport.
The Smooth Road Project has also been carried out for roads around Neihu Technology Park. These renovations help to improve the quality of local roads, offering residents transportation conditions that meet international standards.
