DED Unveils Subsidy Program for Leisure Farm Outings
To step up the pace of transforming local farms into venues for recreation and educational activities, the City’s Department of Economic Development (DED) introduced a subsidy program for schools arranging outings and field trips at certificated farms this year.
According to the DED, phase 2 of the program will start accepting applications between September 1 and November 20. An estimated 3,000 individuals – students and faculty from both private and public elementary schools – will be eligible for the subsidy. The first phase of the program concluded on June 30.
Selected applicants will receive NT$150 in subsidy for trips where the outing cost for each participant is NT$300 or more. Schools planning field trips at the following destinations can apply; the contact information of the designated farms is provided below:
