PTO Releases Public Bus Route Handbook
To encourage international visitors and expats living in Taipei to utilize the City’s convenient public transportation network, the Public Transportation Office (PTO) will be releasing an English version of the Public Bus Route Handbook on May 27.
In addition to the information on MRT and public bus routes, the publication also offers readers information on bicycle routes, hiking trails, Blue Highway ferries, Taiwan High Speed Railway, and the upcoming 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo.
First time visitors to the city will find the section introducing 10 scenic spots in Taipei to be useful.
The handbook will be available at the 12 local district offices, as well as 18 MRT stations throughout Greater Taipei: MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station; MRT Wanfang Hospital Station; MRT Gangqian Station; MRT Huzhou Station; MRT Tamsui Station; MRT Shipai Station; MRT Jiantan Station; MRT Minquan W. Road Station; MRT Taipei Main Station; MRT CKS Memorial Hall Station; MRT Jingan Station; MRT Gongguan Station; MRT Dapinglin Station; MRT Kunyang Station; MRT Taipei City Hall Station; MRT Ximen Station; MRT Xinpu Station; and MRT Banqiao Station.
