Kids Enjoy Outing at Dinosaur Exhibition with Mayor Hau

To encourage educational tours in Taipei and to inform residents about a great place to visit during the holidays, Mayor Hau Lung-bin and Administrative Appeals Commission Chairman Chen Yeh-shin took a group of young students on a field trip to the ongoing dinosaur exhibition at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall on February 10.
The mayor noted that a great way for parents to spend leisure time with their kids is to take them to the dinosaur exhibition, allowing them to learn more about these amazing beasts while the children explore the fossils and other items on display.
According to the mayor, the fossils and replica models of dinosaurs fascinate many young children. He find it very surprising that the young visitors knows a lot more about the giant lizards than the average adults, seeing how kids could easily answer questions which even grownups find extremely challenging.
A sixth grade student surnamed Wang served as the tour guide for the group. She is the youngest guide at the dinosaur exhibition and a student at Xinghua Elementary School.
The dinosaur exhibition “Playing with Dinosaurs” offers children a great opportunity to learn about these ancient tyrants, nurturing their interest in the history of our planet. The event at CKS Memorial Hall will run through early April.
