The volume of centralized disbursement operations in Taipei City has grown significantly in the past five years, from 2019 to 2023, the centralized disbursement amount from NT$447.9 billion to NT$482.9 billion, an increase of 7.8%. The number of centralized disbursements increased from more than 1.19 million to more than 1.32 million, an increase of 10.9%. In order to handle the increased workload year by year and the goal of becoming the "capital of the future" of Taipei City, the DOF of TCG adhered to the concept of safe and convenient services, and completed the upgrade and optimization of the centralized disbursement system in November and officially launched it. 

Commissioner Hu, Hsiao-Lan of the Department of Finance (DOF), said that the number of centralized disbursements in Taipei City has not only increased significantly in recent years, but also reaching more than 1.32 million in 2023, which is the highest among 6 Special Municipalities. In the face of the increasing volume of operations year by year, the DOF has actively promoted the electronic disbursement of municipal treasury, and has performed well in the past five years, with the remittance ratio of payment, from 99.6% in 2019 to 99.9% in October 2024, successfully implementing the electronic policy goal and laying a good foundation for the financial development of the capital of Taipei.   

Commissioner Hu further emphasized that this upgrade and optimization of the centralized disbursement system can effectively save the work for accounting staff of 394 institutions and schools in the government, including reducing returns, eliminating the need for institutions to remake vouchers, etc., and after the internal process is simplified, the public in the future can enter the account at least 4 hours in advance through remittance operations, accelerate the payment timeliness, and effectively improve the service quality of the public, manufacturers, institutions and schools. 

The DOF finally stated that in order to encourage the public to use the electronic deposit (remittance) operations, from November 25, 2024, the public is welcome to directly request the blessing word almanac from the Disbursement Division of the DOF on the 1st floor of the Municipal Building (1 copy per person, limited quantity, while supplies last). In the future, the DOF will continue to implement an efficient, sensitive and service-oriented government, in addition to speeding up disbursements and ensuring payment security, it will also uphold innovative thinking in the future, continue to improve the centralized disbursement business, and realize the vision of the future city.
