Four new city officials took their oath before Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin during the swear-in ceremony on March 1.
The officials installed in their new positions include Culture Affairs Department Commissioner Hsieh Hiao-yun, Daan District Office Director Su su-chen, Wenshan District Office Director Tsai Pei-lin, and Taipei Sports Office Director Sun Shin-chuan.
At the ceremony, the mayor expressed his gratitude to the outgoing department heads for their services and elaborated on the achievements of the new officials.
He stressed that the top priority of the city administration this year will be the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition. To make the event a success, collaboration among city agencies is a necessary and vital basis. Hau believes people around the world can learn more about the astounding aspects of Taipei with the holding of the world-class flower show in this city.
Hau also expressed his expectations for the new department heads, asking them to work on improving the residents’ well-being by strengthening communication and collaboration among city agencies.
