To strengthen movie-induced tourism in Taipei City, Taipei Film Commission (TFC) collaborated with the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) to organize a one-day tour on October 29, taking reporters to a number of filming locations in Taipei City.
The trip included well-known tourist attractions such as Taipei 101, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Champs-Elysees, 228 Peace Memorial Park, Ximending, Red House, Bopiliao, and Daughter’s Cafe on Fujin Street. All of these destinations have appeared in movies before.
After the tour, Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin arrived at the Daughter’s Cafe to meet with representatives from the movie industry, including Producer Peggy Chiao, Director Fen Fen Cheng, Producer Li Lie, and Director Xiao Ya-quan.
During the meeting, the mayor said he hopes that more moviegoers can learn about the charms and beauty of Taipei through the big screen, as well as through trendy television shows and music videos.
Before the end of the meeting, Hau presented an award to Peggy Chiao, the producer of the movie ‘Hear Me’. He praised Chiao for her outstanding achievements in promoting the city through the cinemas.
