[2010 Shanghai World Expo] Taipei Pavilion to Hold Event Promoting Waste Separation for Recycling
The management of the Taipei Pavilion reported that it received 3,556 visitors on May 12. As of today, this sets a new record for the venue – in terms of daily visitor volume following the official opening earlier this month.
To celebrate the milestone, Taipei Pavilion Curator Chen Ching-an announced that the venue will be holding a special activity featuring waste recycling at the plaza in front of the Taipei Pavilion on May 14. Through the event, visitors can learn about the details of waste separation and implementation in day-to-day living, thereby contributing to the protection of our environment.
Other highlights of the event included two-person Chinese talk show performed by staff members from the Department of Environmental Protection, as well as a special quiz. Those who answer correctly will receive a VIP tour of the Taipei Pavilion and a limited pink-color version of the pavilion’s “Smile Card”.
Chen pointed out that among the venues located in the Urban Best Practice Area, Taipei Pavilion is the only building to attract long queues. He thanked the visitors for their avid support.
