About “Friendly Tour in Taipei”

People in Taipei have changed their perspective about personal space, preferences of public transportation, and visions of urban development – thanks to the City’s Mass Rapid Transit System. Taking MRT to school, to work, to meetings, and for sightseeing has become a common practice in our daily life. On average, there are over 1.8 million daily passengers; and the number is expected to grow with the addition of MRT Songshan Line.

The MRT helps to shorten commute time and to allow more time for leisure. By taking the metro from MRT Xindian Station, one can stop by Beitou to take a bath at a hot spring; visit Taipei Zoo to say hello to Yuan Zai; or enjoy shopping at Xinyi District. It only takes less than an hour to get to any place in the city.

Visitors can also get a glimpse of the diversity and friendliness of the city by walking into any MRT station to appreciate works of public art and enjoy convenient services.
